Although the 80’s was the decade of the coolest music, fashion and hair do’s ... architecture wasn’t a standout. There was little to work with in this tired old warehouse, basically it was a blonde brick shell.
WHAT WE DID
This project is the perfect example of us taking the clients ideas down from the clouds and bringing them to life ... all to their budget.
Interior Design
Construction drawings
Planning Approval as a Tavern
Liquor License
Health approval
Logo Design was a throw in at no cost to the client
(Wayne had a vision and mocked it up in the 3D model and they loved it)
Adam (the client) did not have a clear vision at the start of exactly what he wanted the final venue to offer in terms of kitchen and catering equipment, but he knew he wanted to make a family friendly venue with live bands for weddings, parties and a possible food truck bar feel. So it took working together and talking through the business model to get the offering worked out… We have created a function centre with the ability to transform for multiple uses.
We shared some Big ideas such as draw bridges as tables which may be added later and a full mezzanine level which was included in the fit out.
The entire process took 6 months from our first chat to opening and trading including applying for planning.
Our clients become our friends!! Below are some Instagram quotes from Adam:
“First shout out goes to our amazing friends at @toothpickscreativedesign for giving us an unbelievable design to work towards. We promise to eventually get to implement all the amazing stuff you guys came up with and we can't wait to invite you back over the river for the first sneak peek #preston #olivasocial”
"Every time we think about what this place used to look like and what it has become thanks to you, our eyes fill up with tears. We are eternally grateful for the work you put into helping us build our families future. We love you guys and look forward to seeing you at the bar for another drink! Xx"
